Yeah, stupid subject line.

Well, thing is, I might not be that active around here after next weekend. I just recently found a job and I will be working 12 hour shifts. My schedule will be Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and every other Sunday from 7 am to 7 pm. I'll have free time on Monday - Wednesday though, and I don't know how much I'll be around to check the forums. The part of the factory that I will be working in, has mandatory overtime, meaning that 3 times a month, I'll have to work overtime. Anything over 36 hours is considered overtime, but on some weeks, I'll be putting in 60 hours. WOOHOO for me!

After I start working there, I'm going to be trying to rent an apartment from the company with a friend of mine. He'll have a computer, but I'm not sure if we'll have access that much. Oh well, just thought I would let you guys know.

P.S. Scotty, you can't bitch anymore about having to work 9 hour shifts until you work 3 12 hour shifts in a row!

I've never stayed alert for an entire hour in my entire life. It's true. I'm pretty sure I have some form of attention deficit disorder.

I go into dwams from time to time, my eyes are open but I see nothing and I think about being a footballer for Celtic or something, you know or things that my siblings would pretend to have moral high ground about. I can actually do things sub-conciously too. At mass I kneel, stand up and sit down without ever realising it. It's weird.

Anyway, back to Stapes - 12 hours is way too long. Sorry man. [Disapprove]

Hey, the pay is good for only working 3 - 4 days a week. My friends check last week with 12 hours overtime was over $400. With my mandatory overtime, I'll be making close to $550. So, it's all good.

As for working 12 hours, it's not like I've never worked that long before. It's called school! I had to work to stay awake for 8 hours, and then homework for the other 4 hours. It sucked.

Yeah, the great green dollar.

Stapes, don't talk about homework as being in the same category as work. Sure, it can be, but not really. Last year, I usually had eight hours of school, three or four hours of work, a few hours for homework, six or seven hours of sleep, and then whatever time was left to maintain a social life. Not fun.

Anyways, cool beans about the job.

Thanks Scotty!

As for the homework thing, that is true, but I did have to work my ass off to get my homework done, which wasn't all that easy.

heheheheheh, I slacked more than anything during my senior year. If I was tired, I could sleep in class; if I didn't do my homework, I could probably do it in another class beforehand. Pretty simple stuff, but I did have a few hard classes that required effort, hence me having to actually do homework.

lol I basically did all my work at exactly the last minute on a caffeine high...and guess what? It worked! I did pretty well and got into uni (im starting in feb) ...go the slacker!

Well that sounds like good money Stapes, but u would expect it with that volume of hours.

Yeah, I'm kinda excited, but hey, it is also basically my first job. Sure, I've worked at a friend's house on a farm, but nothing like 12 hour shifts!
